Jewish tour in Genoa

A tour dedicated to the hidden traces of the Jews in Genoa from Medieval times up to the 20th century: starting from the previous Jewish ghetto, established in the second half of 17th century, close to the old port area, through the narrow alleys of the labyrinth of the old part of Genoa, to De Ferrari square, where we will discover the astonishing history of the Jews in the 19th century and the drama of the Second World War, up to the Cathedral and the neighborhood called "il Molo" (the old harbor) where Jews lived during the 18th century and where a small synagogue was built. The tour gives the chance to visit both the old and the modern Genoa and it is focused on the documents and historical sources which witness the importance of the Jewish Community in Genoa during its entire history.
